“Hells Revenge Sunset Jeep Tour with Curtis”
My wife and I just got back from the REAL Sunset jeep tour. I say this because we witnessed other tour companies leaving before sunset. We had the rock overlooking the Colorado River all to ourselves! Our very skillful tour guide Curtis was not only a great driver, he was also very knowledgable about the area. Curtis was very professional in every way. Curtis and Richard both made sure that everyone had a great experience. This tour was an experience not for the faint of heart because not only did we go almost vertical uphill but literally kissed the ground in several places. Then there were the “Gates of Hell” just before sunset and all I can say is “WOW”. Curtis Thank You for an unforgettable Jeep tour!!!!!
“Best of the best!”
I am deathly afraid of heights… So when I saw that Dan Mick’s reputation as a long time local, I thought it would be best to go with them. When Richard learned I was afraid of heights he set off to show me how wrong I was to be afraid. By the end of the trip, I felt so good about my experience, that although I don’t think I’ll be rock climbing any time soon, I won’t be afraid to close in on the edge and enjoy the view! Never at any point did I feel uncomfortable with the ride. I felt safe under Richard’s driving that I would do it all over again. This ride was absolutely stunning and Richard and his uncle, Curtis, were just so down to earth and friendly, that I would recommend them to all my friends and family!
“Awesome day of fun!”
We spent a great day with Richard. We tackled Hell’s Revenge in the morning. Richard was very accommodating and suggested times to use the GoPro and even put it on an obstacle to record us coming up Hell’s Gate. After a quick lunch at Subway, we went back out for the afternoon and did Moab Rim. It was such a contrast to the morning ride. At one point, I was looking for the trail and then said “We are going up there?!!” When we got to the top of the rim, we went for a short hike and saw some Petroglyphs. He allowed us to take pictures and even made suggestions for prime photo spots. We had a great day with him – it was hair raising and exciting but we never felt like we were in harm’s way.
“Like a bearded angel"
So there we were, 7 miles deep on our mountain bikes on the Slickrock Trail, when out of the blue a bearded angel appeared in front of us, driving a burly white Jeep with a front-row passenger in tow. He stopped the Jeep and asked if we were okay, and offered to refill our hydration packs with bottled water from a cooler in the back of his rig. Of course, by that time, we were running low and kindly accepted; spirits were high for the rest of our pedal back to town. While we didn’t actually *take* a Jeep ride, we definitely experienced the friendly actions behind the reason Dan is called “The Mayor of Slickrock!” What a superb guy, and we’ll definitely be sure to catch a ride with him next time we come to Moab! Thanks Dan!
Lots of Fun!
We booked a tour with Richard Mick for 1-17-22 at 9 AM. He picked us up at our hotel. We dressed for cold weather but had option of using heat if needed. We saw a few dinosaur tracks early on the tour. The tour was like a slow bumpy roller coster ride! It was so much fun! Sometimes we were tilted straight up and sideways going over the rocks! We got to get out and view CO River and La Sal Mountains. Snacks and water were provided.

Do It!!!
Had a wonderful Hell's Revenge Jeep tour today with Richard!! What a great guy and guide. Richard was knowledgeable about the area, the trail, Moab and Utah in general. Just a wealth of information. He was also courteous and respectful and made our three hours just perfect. We highly recommend Dan Mick's Guided Jeep Tours when you are in the area. Best thing you'll do while here!!

A great tour!!!
We had a great time! Aaron, our tour guide, was charming, funny, fun, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the entire area. He made sure we had a perfect tour — working with our comfort level. It was a wonderful time and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to go “behind the scenes” in Moab. A great experience
Richard took us out for a roller coaster ride through an incredible 4WD trail. Some of the obstacles seemed impossible to navigate however Richard’s experience allows the seemingly impossible to become possible!
